The AMC Mainstreet 6 in Kansas City, Missouri closed on June 20, 2012 and will reopen soon under the management of Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas as the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema - Mainstreet. The headline is inaccurate. Both the linked article and Alamo Drafthouse's press release say the theater will be open in its present configuration through the summer.

At the time the article was written, the theater was indeed closed. Everything on their web site, Facebook page, and news reports that could be found said that they were hoping to reopen very quickly, but they were not currently showing movies.

However, I just checked this morning, and they now have showtimes available on their site, so we should be getting them shortly.
