Cinemark Buys 32 Rave Cinemas Locations

Cinemark USA, Inc. announced recently that they have entered into an agreement with Rave Cinemas to acquire 32 locations in 12 states. My theatre Rave Cityplace 14 in downtown Kalamazoo will close on November 25th, hopefully it will reopen under new managerment. I love two blocks from the theatre and i go there every Monday to watch new movies and review them for The Big Screen Cinema Guide. Hopefully, until Cityplace reopen, I'll have to see movies at Celebration Cinema Crossroads.

This deal was finalized in May 2013, and we have updated the ownership information for each of the affected theaters. The total number of former Rave locations acquired by Cinemark is 34. The complete list is to the right.
