Columbia, SC: Columbia Place Stadium Cinemas Closed

The Columbia Place Stadium Cinemas in Columbia, South Carolina has closed. Their Facebook page was updated on November 17, 2011 with a short "The theater is temporarily shut down" message. No other information could be found.

Santa Fe, NM: UA North 6 Closed

The UA North 6 in Santa Fe, New Mexico closed on December 7, 2011. It was Santa Fe's only discount theater. The Santa Fe New Mexican published an article which mentions that the theater's lease was expiring and was not renewed by Regal Cinemas.... (more)

Franklin, WI: Showtime Cinema Sold to Marcus Theatres

Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked
On vacation aboard a luxury cruise ship, Alvin, Simon, Theodore and the Chipettes are up to their usual antics, turning the ship into their personal playground, until they become ‘chipwrecked' on a desert island.

As Dave Seville frantically searches for his AWOL charges, the ‘Munks and Chipettes do what they do best – sing, dance and wreak havoc.

But they're in for the biggest surprises and lessons of their lives when they embark on an island adventure with their new friend – a castaway who's more than a match for Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol: The IMAX Experience
Blamed for the terrorist bombing of the Kremlin, IMF operative Ethan Hunt is disavowed along with the rest of the agency when the President initiates "Ghost Protocol".

In this follow-up to the immensely popular 2009 Academy Award nominated movie, Sherlock Holmes, we have Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.), and his longtime trusted associate, Dr. Watson (Jude Law), match wits with their arch-nemesis, the criminal genius Moriarty (Jared Harris). Returning from the first movie is director Guy Ritchie, the cast also includes Rachel McAdams as Irene Adler; Kelly Reilly as Watson's new bride, Mary; Eddie Marsan as Inspector Lestrade; and Geraldine James as Holmes' long-suffering landlady, Mrs. Hudson.
