Opened in 1915. Its final days as a movie theater were in 1955.

It turned into a nightclub called The Electric Ballroom, hosting musical acts such as Elvis Costello, AC/DC, and Cheap Trick. It later became The Ballroom, hosting U2, The Police, Dire Straits, Duran Duran, and more. It became a strip club named Hoops in 1986, which closed in 1991. The abandoned building was severely damaged by fire on February 9, 2016.
