Mifflin Street Madison, WI 53703 ![]() Originally built in 1906, it wasn't a movie theater until it was renovated in 1968 and opened by Marcus Theatres Corporation as the single-screen Esquire Theatre. In Dec 1981, it was advertised as the Esquire Cinemas. It was twinned in the 80s by converting the balcony into a separate auditorium. Marcus Theatres Corporation operated it until 1991. It was purchased in 1994 and turned into a live performance theater called the Bartell Theatre.
