Seems to have raised prices and eliminated Tuesday $6.00 day. Avoid this theater!

They were probably doing checks of the theater to verify the presentation and to check for any patrons disturbing others. This is something that more theaters should do, so it's commendable that the Bow Tie is doing so!

I have not attended a movie at this theater in the Reston Town Center for about a year. The reasons were multiple so let's just say that it had fallen into a serious state of disrepair. My guess was that they had plans to move over to a nearby big block/box store area and open up another one of those giant movie complexes.
Happily, although the Rave Company might do that, this theater is now the "Bow Tie" movie. They have been fixing it up and when I went in last week to Theater 1, it was very nice with, I guess, all the seats working.

The only problem is that the movie was Midnight in Paris and I was so taken in by the wonderful photography of Paris that I guess I expected to walk out into the Paris night and sip a bit of wine in a sidewalk cafe. LOL

Instead, it was broad daylight and about 113 degrees F. Sitting outside would have been a suicide. All the office workers suffering, in office garb had ducked back inside, leaving only a couple of hapless tourists and a few others like me. I got to a relatively cool place in a hurry, still happy with the good experience in this theater.

I do not work for them. I have gone to the theater since it opened a long time ago.

Reston Multiplex Theaters had special Tuesday rates for years. In addition, Wednesdays were a very special Senior Movie Day - with rates almost 50% reduced.

Over the 2010 Holiday Season, the theater (company) eliminated these special rates - first time ever!! - and has yet to reinstate their former reduced rate schedule for Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Yet they have done nothing with the theaters to justify the higher rates!
