Theater opened April 14, 1965 by Marcus Theatres as a single-screen theater. A second screen was added in 1980. It closed in the summer of 1993.

In 2004, the property was turned into a residential subdivision called "The Conservancy"

In a March 1978 newspaper advertisement, this theater was advertised as the "Giant 24"
