651 Fulton Street Brooklyn, NY 11217 Message: 718-636-4100 more » Opened in 1904 as the Majestic Theater, hosting a variety of dramas, light opera, musicals, and vaudeville. In 1942, the Majestic was transformed into a first-run movie house, and then closed in the 1960's amid the decline in moviegoing from television and demographic changes. An extensive renovation of the theater was completed in 1987 and in 1999, the Majestic was renamed in honor of retiring leader Harvey Lichtenstein. aka BAM Harvey Cinema As of November 2019, this location no longer screens movies. Starting showing movies again in 2021.
