This feature is intended for our readers to share their experiences at movie theaters, in the hopes that theaters providing good presentations will be highlighted as well as those that need improvement to meet the expectations of their customers.

This is not a forum for bashing on a theater, but rather a place for your experiences (both good and bad) to be noted for other readers to see. If you had a problem at a theater, we encourage you to contact that theater using the information on their Contact Information page. Most theaters are very interested in hearing feedback from their customers.

I've enjoyed taking my kids, and now my grandkids to Highland Twin Cinema for years. The owners and their personnel are wonderful people, always friendly, the theatre and restrooms always are clean, it's in a central location for everyone, the concession stand offers a big variety of treats, and they try to show movies that everyone will enjoy. Yes, the quality may be better at some other theatres, but these folks are providing a service that's handy to us and affordable. For those of you who complain that what they offer isn't up to your standards, please consider that the owners have expenses just like the rest of us, but for their theatre they pay rent, utilities, the cost of the movies they're able to order and show here, etc. that affect what they're able to offer us. We're not a highly populated area like Batesville is, so we should appreciate that we actually have a theatre in our own neighborhood. If the owners' lifestyle was excessive, I would question their profit margin, but I truly do appreciate them for giving their all to their business and doing their best to provide entertainment for us.

Highland Twin Cinema is not only one of the most let down movie theaters but does not even play the movies that are out. I can drive 30 minutes to Batesville, AR to see the same movie with better sound and picture. Or to West Plains, Mo that's 45 minutes away. Highland Twin Cinema is an overpriced, crappy movie theatre. I am more disappointed that they won't even play The Fault In Our Stars. A heart breaking movie that changes the way we see cancer patience. But this theatre would rather play a poorly written Angelina Jolee movie, and a Tom Cruise movie. I would rather watch Twilight again.

Sound Quality:Poor

For years I used to drive 45 minutes to go to a different theater just because Highland Twin Cinema had terrible sound quality. Literally, the sound quality was better on my home television.

This was such a shame because I usually like supporting my local businesses, and the owners and employees of this theater seemed really nice. They recently upgraded to a digital projection system, which has not only improved their picture, but thier audio, to some degree. It still needs to be improved, though. Their center channel is way too low in volume and tonal quality, sounding muddy and distorted. This channel is important because that is where you hear the dialog from.

For many movies, I'll still make the drive to the further theater because of the better audio quality. I hope Highland Twin Cinema address this issue soon so I don't have to drive out of state to see movies anymore.

This theater is my favorite to visit. It is definitely a family cinema with a staff that is always courteous, friendly, and efficient. The entire building is spotless, as well as the surrounding area. Also, the prices are unheard of...you can actually afford to take your family here and even buy them snacks! Cudoes to this establishment.
