Opened in Nov 1926 as the Columbus Theatre. Renamed to the Uptown Theatre in 1929. The name was restored to the Columbus Theatre in 1962. The balcony was closed off and converted into a separate auditorium called the "Studio Cinema" making it Rhode Island's first indoor twin cinema. Closed in Jun 2024.
