Renamed to the Uptown Theatre in 1929. The name was restored to the Columbus Theatre in 1962. The balcony was closed off and converted into a separate auditorium called the "Studio Cinema" making it Rhode Island's first indoor twin cinema. Closed in Jun 2024.
