Woo Hoo!!! the market Square is open! Life is good. I didn't realize how much I loved being a regular customer; discussing the movies with staff... Rapture!!!!

I've liked Market Square/Siver Cinemas for a long time. It's a nice little theater in one of the most unique malls in Madison. I always visit this theater if I miss a big movie when it comes out at the first run theaters. Sometimes I wait on purpose knowing it will come to this theater. It's a good alternative to the high prices that the chain theaters charge such as Marcus. I'd recommend this theater to anyone who loves movies because they always show the family movies and the big budget type. The atmosphere is good and the overall experience is excellent. I've gone to this theater when I want to see my fav movies again. It's worth the trip and the wait

Within twenty-four hours switched from Far From the Madding Crowd to Furious Seven!

Gotta get hold of that scheduler. Please tell her: this is Madison. We like movies with dialog; without explosions, violence and noise and wise cracking cops! etc., etc., etc...

I was so relieved when construction of condos on the Market Square land was delayed (the only good thing about the tanked economy!) Besides the fabulous prices, the popcorn is better than at the First Run theaters--and that's important.

I have a request--on your website, could you add a tab for what's coming soon and when? I like to plan my weekend before you typically announce it, so it's an inconvenience. Or I end up not coming to a movie. If I knew what was coming ahead of time, I could plan accordingly.

Can you go back to using the buckets for the popcorn? besides the noise, theres not much popcorn in the bags. Star Cinema uses the buckets its much more pleasant to eat out of. :)

I love how cheap this theater is, the staff are super friendly and they have great products. If we actually go out to see a movie, we ONLY go to this theater!

The crunchy popcorn bags bug me but you can transfer it to another bag if you want to. PLUS they are the size that a Medium used to be. Please go back to the tubs!

Other than that its hard to get upset over popcorn bags. Its the inconsiderate people who dive into them and make so much noise.

The theatre is great- management and workers friendly- it's clean...and affordable.

Holy Cow! Easy solution to noisy bags--I bring a ziploc storage bag and transfer the popcorn from the paper bag...and I let management know so they don't think I'm bringing it in from outside. What is the matter with you people--simple simple simple. I know not everyone in the audience will do this, but use your head!

Management is wonderful to work with and it's such a good deal, especially for seniors or anyone who wants to see an independent film that didn't make it anywhere but the overpriced Sundance.

I love this theater and support it. If a little paper rattling is such an annoyance, go somewhere else. I have never had to deal with any annoyances at this theater as opposed to others that charge more than 5 times the admission price!

Please keep this theater alive! 6 bucks per couple in prime time. If you don't have the need to go right away when a movie opens, you'll find a lot of good ones here!

Saw Bridesmaids, Sat., Aug. 27th, 6:45. Great movie!, but nearly entirely ruined by the LOUD RATTLING coming from the crinkling of popcorn bags at each reach for a tasty handful by audience members!!!! Holy, moly, what a way to ruin the experience.

I couldn't believe it! I mentioned it to a (friendly) staff person after the show and was told, "Yes, we get that complaint constanty. And we pass it along to the management, but they don't make any change." Wow! How weird and terrible is this?!

It's often run on screen, before a movie begins, to "SHHHH, please be quiet during the presentation and consider your neighbor." So how can you SUPPLY the noisemakers to the audience (for a cost, even!!). This is just plain weird and awful, and until you tell me that you're correcting the situation, you'll not find my posterior sitting in your theater's seats again.

(And I really would wish to return, as otherwise the place seems O.K. on all accounts: nice staff, pretty clean bathroom and pretty comfortable seats).
