The single screen theater was twinned in 1973 and renamed the Centre Cinemas. It was renamed the Grand Cinemas in 1982 to correspond with the newly opened Grand Avenue Mall across the street. The theater closed in 1995 under the ownership of the Marcus Theatres Corp.
