View movie reviews   Madagascar Alex the Lion, king of the jungle and primary attraction at the New York Central Park Zoo, decides to see the world he's been missing with the help of some prodigious penguins. His friends Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, and Gloria the Hippo go after him, but before they can go wild in the streets, they are captured, crated, and put on a ship to Africa. When the penguins sabotage the ship, they find themselves washed up on the shore of Madagascar. Can a bunch of city dwellers get by in the real jungle?
