I was a little sad when I heard of the passing of Ingmar Bergman. I\'ve been watching his films on TV, and in film class. \"Fanny and alexander\" is the only Bergman film that I ever saw in a movie theater and I found the movie very wonderful. In one scene the two kids are awaken to a series of loud scream by the mother after the death of their father. It wasn\'t just scream, it was very loud. So loud you can feel uit. The film is wonder to see. It\'s about a family who made the translation from the death of one father into a stepfather who is more stern. Bergman wrote the screenplay as if it was done by Charles Dickens. Sven Nykvist who died last year, did a beautiful job in the Cinematography department. The film wom four Academy Awards. The film runs over three hours and ever minute is a work of art. Looking for more opinions?Check out our Featured Movie Reviews for Fanny and Alexander. |
