Joyless and loud, that what I fell about "Joyful Noise." the only reason why they made this film is to promote the soundtrack. The rest of the movie they rather forget. The performances are second rate. Queen Latifah has been playing the same role for the last ten years. Nothing new coming out of her. Dolly parton's acting is compared to a Walmart store greeter. The only performer who trried to get into her character is Keke Palmer who may have a future in movies. The soundtrack is good, if you to hear the music, get the soundtrack album. My advice is get the soundtrack and skip the movie.

It is a movie you know how it will end before it starts, but you really enjoy the whole thing anyway. Music is great, and the actors, while not all of them that good, made it a fun movie to just sit back and relax and enjoy.
