The film "The Diary of Anne Frank" is a impressive drama and it moments, quite harrowing. It is based on a diary that Anne wrote during her time in the attic. the film tells of a shopkeeper who hid Jewish family in a attic to escape the Nazis. Millie Perkins played the title role and she did a most impressive performance. Others in the cast includes Shelly Winter, Ed Wynn among others. What I also like about the movie is at the end of the movie, there is no The End and no cast credits. it just those words, "The Diary of Anne Frank" A saw a live version of the movie at my high school, it was good, but the way the Nazis kick in the door was loud, when the Nazi break in in the movie, they use quietly rip down the door one peace at a time. There was also a remake of the movie on television featuring Melissa Gibert. But I rather preferred the feature movie. Want to see the movie, if you got Turner classic Movies, then you good to go.
