Don't go expecting a movie remake of the old tv series. This is much more entertaining. It was campy, funny, and had a surprisingly good plotline. May 16, 2012
The only thing wrong I would say is that at times it was slow moving, otherwise it was very good. May 17, 2012
"Dark Shadows" is a quite funny if not a fairly good movie. A lot of people wiull go to this movie because of Johnny Depp. He's good, but the real star of ther movie in my opinion is Chloe Grace Moretz. She can play it brilliantly as well as she can played it in a deadpan manner. Her character is beautiful. She blew me away. Also in this movie is Eva Green who comes off as a walking fashion show. I hope it gets a Oscar nomiunation for Best Costume Design. But I don't think that it will happen. Director Tim Burton made this movier into a dark funny movie. The movie takes place first in the 1780's and later into 1972 where a lot of jokes poking fun at that year. Where were you in '72? "Dark Shadows" is a fun movie that knows how to have fun and being weird doing it. May 19, 2012

The end was real dumb but most of the movie was ok; not great but a fun, silly movie! Looking for more opinions?Check out our Featured Movie Reviews for Dark Shadows. |
