Horrible. Nothing but a punch of "names". No real plot, no direction, no character development. Save your time and money ! Dec 11, 2012
I liked this movie. It was a pretty good story. But I didn't think Gerard and Jessica had much chemistry between themselves. Jessica is very beautiful but not here. They protrayed her as a real plain jane and it wasn't very appealing. And Gerard came off as a goofy slacker. They just didn't go together but the movie ends happily so it was a just ok movie for me. Another lost weekend at the movies. "Playing for Keeps" is a terrible dramaedy about a retire soccer who retuns home to coach a kids Soccer team. While there he tries to reconnect with his son and his ex-wife played by Jessica Biel, That part of the movie didn't seen to work. What I like is the endless affairs between Bulter and the Soccer moms. Many of them quite grogeous. Two of the them is played byCatherine Zeta-Jones and Uma Thurman. And also had a affair with another Soccer mom played by Judy Greer. She's the best thing that came out of this movie. For the past four years Gerard Butler has benn in one bad movie after another. The only exception is the speaking part in "How to Train Your Dragon." He needs to be in better movies. Looking for more opinions?Check out our Featured Movie Reviews for Playing for Keeps. |
