It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine." That came from a song by REM which could have been used in "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World," but they didn't. At least it's a good comedy about two unliking people (Steve Carell and Keira Knightley) and an abandon dog going on the road in the last days before an asteroid destroys Earth. There are scenes about riots and wild parties, but the big shock, it's mostly a quiet movie. Even the anchor ios calm as he annopunces the end. Not unlike this wild on the air scene in the 1978 version of "Dawn of the Dead." The performances of Carell and Knightley are good. This is a funny and hearthfelt movie.
