"42" is a movie that should have been made years ago. It's the story of Jackie robinson who became the first African-American to broke into the big leagues and it not a walk in nthe park. He had to endure the racial trunts from players, managers and fans. The that is the very first year. Chadwick Boseman gave a great performance as the Brooklyn Dooger first baseman. His performance could earn him a Oscar nomination as besdt actor. If not,(probaby because Oscar voters don't have great memories) he'll probaby get nominated for Breakout Performance at the MTV Movie Awards. This movie is made so that younbg people who study history will learn the life of the famous ballpayer and the stuff he had to go though. Because of him, racial barriors wnt down not only in Baseball, but in Football, Basketball, and Hockey. Jackie Robinson hasd made a difference by doing the thing that he loves to do and that is playing baseball.

"42" is an important story, but the film is just okay. It does a great job showing the racist travails that Jackie Robinson had to face and conquor. I didn't get a feel of a well researched film. Jackie Robinson gets a hit or a walk almost every time he bats? The players play about on the level of high school? No unusual film anything - acting, pacing, techniques, etc.
