A better movie than the last one some three years ago. The reason why the ape movie of the 2010's is better than the Apes movies of the late 60" early 70"s is that the special effects is much better. The film takes place about ten years after the events in the "Rise of the Planet of the Apes." Ceasar is the leader of the tribe bascially because he's one of the few apes who actually can talk. The others talk though their own language which has a lot of subtitles. A group of humans from San Franciso invaded their territory to turn the power planet on for their city, but they succeeded because of Ceasar, who has some trust in the humans. Andy Seris again plays Ceasar, who rightfully deserves an Academy Award for his performance. But it a ape faction who wants to declare war on the humans and a human faction lead by Gary Oldman who wants to do the same. Besides the performance by Serkis, It's nice to see Keri Russell back on the big screen. I miss her on the big screen. I could watch her in "The Americans," but fo some reason, I don't. Nice to see her again. I like the perfor4mance of Gary Oldman, even I didn't like his comments in Playboy Magazine. I saw the movie in 2D. Even if I see the movie in 3D, my opinion towards the movie will still be the same.

Honestly it is worth seeing because it's on the big screen, but there are several slow places. The good side is you will have time for popcorn and drink breaks during the show. You don't have to have seen the previous movie but several places it helps to know what's going on. But the story carries itself just fine. One suggestion: Go on discount night...it makes it a little better.

Slow in several spots and sometimes the acting lacks emotion, but the effects are worth the big screen,
