This movie is a bit violent, but still a movie worth seeing.Directed by Antoine Fuqua, it is basedf on the 1980's TV series on CBS. I didn't watch the show, I didn't watch much television in the 1980's. I spent more time in movie theatres than in front of the television set.. Denzel Wahington plays an employee at a lumber store when he befrind a young prostitute played by Chloe Grance Moretz in another fine performance. When she got beaten by members of the Russian mob, that'sa when he went after the mob and that's where the film got intresting. One of the best quotes from the movie is from Denzel and explainking how can aknight exist in a world where there's no knights. Washington's character comes off as a righteous person (no offense Ferris Bueller) who reads "The Old Man and the Sea" and quote stuff from the book. This is a smart and thrilling movie who comes together a quite a movie.

Violent? For sure. Not a DW classic; but, still Denzel. Gives you a chance to root for the good guys. Plot is simplistic; but, options (as usual) are few.
