It was very well done, all the kids in the theater sat glued to the screen.

"Cinderella" is the latest of a long line of remake dating back to silent aminated classic in 1922, also done by Disney. Since the 1950 animated classic, there's been Cinderella knock off featuring Jerry Lewis, Drew Barrymore, Hillary Duff, Selena Gomez and Lucy Hale. But this one is quite different; it brough the story back to it's roots. And it's a beautiful film as we get to relive the story of how Cinderella who though one night at the ball had change her life as she takes a stand against The Stepmother (played by Cate Blanchett), the role of Cinderella is played by Lily James and she is very impressive. So you think that this movie is only for little girls? Wrong! Men can enjoy this movie just as much as women and girls. I'm a guy and I like this movie. Movies like "Cinderella" shouldn't be defined by gender. Before the movie is a Frozen short in which one of the characters is celebrating her birthday. This is a great short that could get an Oscar nomination for best animated short. My adivce; Come to the party, stay for the movie.

I went to see Cinderella recently with my family. It is a beautiful reworking of animated 1950s original. It moved me to tears, made me laugh and summed it up with an “awwww”-worthy ending (not to mention a very good message to wrap up the whole package). The live-action version fills in many of the gaps that the animated one left: the prince’s background, and the stories of Cinderella’s mother, father and stepmother. This made it very pleasing to a person who looks for a good plot line. There was plenty of humorous moments, but not so many that the detracted from the movie as a whole. The message conveyed sets a very good example for everyone, but especially the generation growing up surrounded by social media and instant gratification. Overall, I highly recommend this film and am highly anticipating the arrival of Beauty and the Beast in 2017!

Cinderella was great. It was a movie worth watching. I am glad that I went to see it in the theater when I did. Watching it in a theater was a great experience and it was fun too see it with my family.

Disney has had some success in mining its classic animated fairy tales and doing live-action versions of them, and Cinderella was good enough to make me look forward to how they do Beauty and the Beast in 2017.

This version is a completely different telling of the Cinderella tale, and that's a good thing. I was thinking it was going to be a live-action copy, and it wasn't. If you've never seen the animated version, this one is a good telling of the story. If you have seen it, this movie is a nice companion.

Whereas Maleficent almost collapsed under its own weight at times, Cinderella is more enjoyable, and much more about girls finding their way, even in the face of adversity. Maleficent let her misfortune and poor treatment get the best of her, but Cinderella continues to strive for being the best she can and follow her mother's advice to "have courage and be kind." She also doesn't swoon at the first sight of the prince, but rather chastises him for not thinking about his actions.

Add in some well-placed humor from her fairy godmother and other situations, and you have a good mix that will appeal to people of all ages. Disney should make more movies of this caliber!

The basic Cinderella story in a new age...sweetly done!
