A well-animated but din-witted movie about a bull named Ferdinard who would rather play in the field than being in battle. As a kid, he wanted to be a bullfighter like his father, but when he learned that he was killed in the ring, his plans had changed. he ended up on a farm where the bull are either go to battle in the ring or get carried to the meat house. Either way it death for the bull. The story goes if the bull enters the ring after a few rounds with the matador, he gets a sword out to kill him. I saw this in the 1922 silent movie "Blood and Sand." The farm animals are badly acted. Reminds me of those silly 1970's silly Saturday Morning cartoons. Don't get me started with the goat. the movie was made by Blue Sky productions which made some of the worst animated movies. They had it right with "Peanuts," but wrong on the last two "Ice Age Movie." "Ferdinand" was nominated for Best Animated feature at the Academy awards. should have gone to "Leap" instead.":
