Moana is one of the best animated films of the year. Disney has used its magic once again to make a good movie. The story and script are both beautifully written. The soundtrack is fantastic, save for one song that is clearly out of place. Unfortunately, that out of place song negatively weighs down the whole movie. Overall, Moana is a good film that both children and adults will like, but there is a scene or two that weigh it down.

A well made and beautiful animated movie which kind of reminds you of a movie four months ago titled "Kubo and the Two Strings." if that movie sounds familiar to you, don't worry, this movie will entertain you just as much as Kubo. This movie more reminded me of Homer and what he wrote in ancient Greece titled The Ildad and the Odyssey. Onlyit sat in Polynesian seas. The movie is more of a retelling of the two Homor poems. The title character Moana ( voiced by Auli'i Cravalho) who has magical powers of controlling water. Armed with a Pounamu stone, suddenly out on a quest to finish the journey that her ancestors has started. Along the way with a chicken, she encounters Maui ( voiced by Dwayne Johnson) The two encounter monster, coconut pirates and a fiary demon that they encounter in the end. I love the way they made the movie. The film looks beautiful and there are a lot of catchy tunes in the movie. I love the chemistry between the two characters and that along with the songs carried on this movie. You prpbably sat though at least 8 aminated movies with a few more to go in this Oscar calender year 2016. How about one more? How about "Moana?" You going to like it. Also make room for "Sing." I saw the previews and i was impressed.
