" Miss Pengrine's Home for Peculiar Children" is more like Professor Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters for kids that have been rejected but somehow end up here. This isn't Director Tim Burton's best work, but he could do better with the material he's got. Even the main villain isn't very important. some of the images from this movie are borrow from other Tim Burton movies. A guy named Jake with help from his grandfather, found his way into a magical world where a school exist and it still fighting World War 2. Jake met Miss Peregrine who smokes a pipe and the children. One girl has the strength that rivals "The Incredible Hulk." One woman floats though air with help from heavy boots. Twins who wear masks for an important reason and a girl who has sharp teeth in the back of her head. it could've been a good movie, but Director Burton wasted his time on a lukewarm plots rather than spending more time with the children in the house. It's good, but it could be better. Maybe a sequel could explain more about the children, but I don't think it's going to happen.
