Probaby the worst thing you have to say about "Unbroken" is that it came seven months after "The Railway Man," a much better movie that got little or no notice in theatres. The only reason why it got support from the public is that it was directed by Angelina Jolie, which is a good director, but not as good as David Lean when he directed the Oscar winner "The Bridge Over the River Kwai" The movie tells about Louie Zamperini, a fighter pilot who was shot down, spent 57 days at sea and was thrown in not one but two POW camps and mange to walk away not only as a survivor, but with a sense of forgiveness about the captors who abuse him. Zamperini died while the movie was made. And yes his story is deserved to be told. I'll recommend the movie to those who haven't saw "The Railway Man." If you see both, it will be a rerun.

I thought it was a good movie and followed very close to the book. A story of what happend in the life of one man, based on fact.
