A month ago, i attended the summer Movie Celebration at Celebration Cinema Crossroads and I rank movie trailers on a scale from one to five. One movie I ranked is "Aloha," I gave the movie trailer a 3, which means it's good because a strong cast of Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams, Bill Murray, John Karaiaski and Alec Baldwin. And is written and directed by Cameron Crowe. What coulod possibly go wrong? It did and I sat thogh a movie that is nothing less than a horror movie. "Aloha" should have be retitied "From Here to Nowhere." This movie is terrible in every way possible. The plotline is a defense contracter played by Cooper travels to Hawaii to hook up with his ex-girlfried, played by Emma Stone. There's nothing for me to like, the cast is steller, but are stuck with a lifeless script written by Crowe and the movie has failed on all levels. If hyou give the cast a bad script, chances are they won't go any where with the roles that they suppose to play. I think the cast and crew had a great time filming in Hawaii. Do they made a home movie of their so-called vacatiion? If they did, I wanted to see it. It beats the film I saw.

I loved this movie....script is ok but the cast is the best especially Emma Stone......and it had a good bit of Hawaiiana with great locations and good Hawaiian talk story brahda's..... basically a romantic story with some drama but it all ends up well except for Bill Murray...who was also great along with Alec Baldwin.....great chemistry in all this cast...I highly recommend this movie if you want nice scenery, very attractive cast, so good music and a pretty believable story line.....I give this movie a big ole 10!

A fairly entertaining movie centered mainly on the relationship between the main character and his ex girlfriend, who is now married and his new girlfriend/partner. It's not till near the end of the movie that you find out the real reason he was assigned to this project in Hawaii.

Though it has a good roster of name actors, That just doesn't give it enough to be a good movie.
