How the South was Won! Not only "Selna" is a great movie, but it couldn't have come at a right time. Recently, the Supreme court and some states has cut back on the Civil Rights act of 1965 and watching those marchers in Selna who are fighting for votor's right will make you believe for a cause again., I bet there aill be a lot of people will come for the movie on the Holiday horning Martin Luther King Jr. David Oyelowo is a powerful presence as King, a civil rights leader who in the movie is trying to overturn the harsh voting restriction to African-American voters. He plan a march from Selma to montgromy and in the way are police officers who stood in the way. There are a lot of powerful performance, espically from Oprah Winfrey did a good job in her role. I urge you to see this film, especially the young people who wren't there when it went down in Selna. That will serve an very importanbt history of those who stood up to injustice.

This is a powerful must see film for all Americans! It is an accurate retelling of a moment in time that helped change our country's destiny. I am proud to know that my family members were on that bridge in the not so distant past fighting for me and my rights as an American child.

We all know the efforts by King and the overall outcome, but here we also are exposed to the stubborn political side of the story and also how the media had a great influence on the outcome by making the public aware of what was taking place and putting pressure on the government to make a change.

Great acting and just enough violence to convey the story but not over tell it. There is also the insight on Kings personal life and the struggles with family and friends to accomplish his mission.
