Not that great of a story line and acting was so so. Jan 28, 2016

Chloe Grace Moretz is the only thing that kept this film from becoming the worst movie of the year. 'The 5th Wave" is terrible going by the book alien invasion which has been lifted from "The Hunger Games" and "Divergent." We been getting alien invasion movies almost one every year and each alien invasion is just as bad as the rest. "The 5th Wave" is no exception. this movie is pretty bad and yet it was confusing. Moretz plays a high school student when she was affected by an alien invasion. After the first few waves, she began to feud for herself by becoming a one-woman rebel army. She is out to find her little brother who was taken by what I believe was the alien invaders. This movie doesn't make much sense. the alien invasion along with the 5 waves are pretty dull. there's nothing to like and it's very smart for the people who hired Chloe Grace Moretz. She's the only bright spot in the movie. I've been following her for six years dating back to 2010, when she appear in "Kickass" and "Diary of a Wimpy Kid." She plays rebelling teens who can surivie outside nornal behavior. That to me is what i find special in the actress. She's bright and she brings it to the big screen. and where every she goes i go with her. Me and her are friends on Facebook and i'm proud to say that. But this movie I love to see her in the movie, but she has no control over the content of the movie. that movie reminds me of a "Twlight Zone" episode inwhich aliens created a distraction in a neighborhood in which redients turn against each other and arachy reign. Those aliens ar every smart. It didn't take 5 waves to get noticed. Jun 26, 2016
This was better than I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, it's not great, I just had very low expectations. I liked it more than I thought I would, despite it at times being too predictable or too "teen romance-y". I've heard such incredible things about the book, but the movie clearly didn't transfer over well. It had pacing issues, and was predictable at every "twist." Chloe Grace Moretz did a solid job as main character Cassie, but she struggled to put the entire movie onto her shoulders and still deliver.
