This movie is horrible. It isn't worth the time or money. The only scary thing is that I actually picked this movie. Bad acting. Repetitive. No originality. Jul 14, 2015
"The Gallows" is a bad movie about a play gone wrong. I've seen ads for the movie on television where the camera is forcus on the crowd reaction to the movie. I've probaby see over 500 horror movies so I know what to expect. But the kids in the audience are reacting as if they never see a horror movie in their life. I'm sad to say that's the target audience of the movie. I've could've give a Stay Away, but I gave it a Wait for Rentals, I'll tell you why later. The film takes place in a small midwestern town where they stage the live play "The Gallows." As the film opens, one of the actors was killed when the door beneath him accidently opens and he was killed. Twenty years later, four kids sneak in to same theatre where the accident occurred to restage the whole thing and someone or something's there to kill them off. I didn't care about the kids in the movie. I didn't like the way the kids on the football team has treated the nerd in the movie. Another thing I don't like is the use of the camera. When the kids ram from one room to the next, they carried the camera along with them. At some point in the movie, I can't make out what the camera is showing. There's very little to like, the kids are unlikable. But there is one staqnd out and is probaby why I gave the movie a Wait For Rental. Her name is Pfifer Brown and she cross her performance in a professional mnner. I hope i get to see more of her in future movies, as long as it isn't "The Gallows 2."
