Although there are a number of stars and Clooney is a draw, I found this film to,be boring. The attempts at comedy in my mind didn't go over that well. It didn't hold my interest well at all. If you feel you need to see it, wait for the rental.

I can said the reason why Hollywood of today is so fanciated by the movies of the 1950's is that it is the last decade of the not only the studio system, but it's the last decade of the Hayes codes which was replaced in the late 1960's by the MPAA ratings. "Hail Ceasar" has very little of offer. The star played by George Clooeny who was kidnapped by communists. they look like nerds attending Comic Con.If Cloony had a brain, he would walk out of the house. i can't even stand the dog. There are a few good moments such as Channing Tatum is a dancing number and Scarlett Johansson in a water number. That's a few good scenes in the movie. What the movie need is more laughs and the film didn't even offer that. Plus the stuff about Hollywood in the 1950's This is the Coan Brothers least favorite movie. And I know, they made better movies before.
