Disney does it again! A beautifully crafted live-action adaptation of the original Pete's Dragon (1977), this version is simply astounding. The first thing that needs addressing is the impressive ensemble cast. Incredible performances were put forth by so many actors, including but not limited to Bryce Dallas Howard, Robert Redford, Wes Bently, Karl Urban, Oona Laurence, and Oakes Fegly, just to name a few. The visuals in this movie were incredible, especially concerning the titular dragon, Elliot. Overall the movie was impressive start to finish, and a great watch for both kids and adults.

"Pete's Dragon" is the 2016 remake of a movie that i have never saw. It is based on the 1977 movie and the only thing I got out of it is Helen Reddy and Mickey Rooney is in it. It got an Oscar nomination for Best Orginal song. So I had no choice but to review that movie as if the original never exist. Just like the 1977 movie except the dragon is in computer animated, not a Disney cartoon. If you follow the 2016 with the 1977 movie in mind, you won't have any trouble, but for me since I didn't see the movie, It's a little difficult, but at the end, it's a ok movie for me. It's about a young boy who befriends a dragon after his parents died in a car crash and six years later, people found out about the dragon and tried to capture him. Robert Redford and Bryce Dallas Howard is in the movie and both did a fine job. there's not much special effect outside the dragon, but the chemistry between the dragon and the boy carries though.
