"Money Monster" is a good movie, but as I sat though this movie, one movie came to mind and that is the film "The Big Short" from last Christmas. The movie is more of a fantasy flip-side of "The Big Short." The movie has two different version of the same story. the financial crisis which affects those involve. In "Money Monster" the host of a financial show hosted by Lee Gates played by George Clooney which mixes financial information with show business. Also featuring girls dancing next to him. Donald Trump would probably tune in for that. During one of his live shows, a disgruntled invester came on the set with a gun and a explosive vest and wanting to know why he lost money on a investment advice from Lee. From there on I can't reveal the ending but it's the type of movie you want to to hold on to the edge of your seat. Julia Roberts plays her struggling director who kept talking to Clooney by earpiece thoughout the crisis. Roberts gave a great performance. Her best role in may years. Last week I saw her in "Mother's Day" she was unwatchable. Not this movie. she did a great job. Jack O' Connell is too good as a man on the edge and wants answers. This movie is directed by Jodie Foster, her best work as director in years. I hope a few drive-ins would show both "Money Monster" and "The Big Short." The need to see both movies. "Money Monster" is good, but "The Big Short" is much better.

Though similar to the Big Short, this movie has great suspense. The story live holds throughout and the acting is right on. Great directing by Jodie Foster
