A few years ago, I was watching an award show titled "The Scream Awards,' which was shown on Spike. It was an award show for horror and science fiction movies and television show. It's too bad that they drop the award shows. there are some good horror movies out there that deserve recognition. One horror movie that should have been honored if the awards show are still on the air is "Lights Out," a horror movie that doesn't need graphic violence and gore to get the audience's attention. The film is center around a family inwhich a monster which hids in the dark to attack. A woman named Rebecca(Teresa Palmer) has experience what happened to her. Now she must go back to that house to save her little broither Martin (Gabriel Bateman from that monster in the dark. There is also a connection between her mother played by Maria Bello and the monster in the dark. I has a lot of scares and I hope people who are turn off by the pass horror movies (with the exception of "The Conjouring 2") will come back and start appreciating horror movies again. Maybe, just maybe, "The Scream Awards" will return.

I didn't think this movie was that good. It was predictable and slow moving. The main male character didn't do much of any good acting. Something was missing besides all of this.
