Sing was extremely entertaining. Every lead voice actor did an amazing job bringing the personality of their character to life, and every character was fleshed out and had their own clear motivations. Matthew McConaughey is a gem. Not only is he a great live-action actor, but he's provided the voice to two of the most memorable animated characters of the year, both here in Sing and in Kubo and the Two Strings. Sing has so much heart and passion that is brought out through every fantastic musical number. While it may not be perfect, it was a great story, and lots of fun to witness unfold on screen.

"La La Land" isn't the only musical in theater overt the holiday season. the film is a total music joy, played and sung by those who have passion in their heats. It's a fusion between Walt Disney's Silly symphonies from the 1930's and with that of singing competition shows like "American Idol" and "the Voice." I don't watch those shows, but I had in the past supported singers who made it on those shows. The film centers on Koala Buster Moon who ran a theater who has seen it's glory days and it's about to close. In a desperate measure, he started a singing competition show in which the grand prize is $1,000. but a slight error has added two zeroes, making it $100,000, which a lot of people came out in droves. The film focus on a half dozen people who made it though to the final round. We have a mouse who can mimic Frank Sinatra, a gorilla who wants to break into music to escape a criminal family which includes his disapproving father. Two pigs who sing and dance among others. Everything can and goes wrong for everyone involve in the competition. I love the way the film is handled. The music score is incredible with plenty of catching tunes. I just wonder if the film has a soundtrack, KI'll be shock if it doesn't. Overall, I love the movie. If you see "La La Land" (I'm not taking anything away the movie, the film is incredible), after that, go over and see "Sing" and make that a double feature.
