The BFG in 3D The Big Friendly Giant is nothing like the other inhabitants of Giant Country. Standing 24-feet tall with enormous ears and a keen sense of smell, he is endearingly dim-witted and keeps to himself... View more > Starring Ruby Barnhill, Mark Rylance, Bill Hader... Jul 2, 2016 While Mark Rylance was great as the BFG himself and the movie as a whole was visually beautiful (like many other Steven Spielberg films before it), The BFG falls short because it is very choppy and wasn't stitched together very well. I wasn't incredibly impressed with Ruby Barnhill as Sophie. Overall, Roald Dahl's The BFG book quite honestly doesn't lend itself very well to a film adaptation. It's a feel good, family friendly film but not a must see. Jul 7, 2016
"The BFG" or Big Friendly Giant is a wonderfully made family movie based on the Ronald Dahl movie and is directed by Steven Spielberg. In the movie a young girl name sophie played by Ruby Barnhill befriends a friendly giant named BFG played by Mark Rylance. He is part of a group of giants who want to eat kids, but this giant has will have no part of it. He is being bullied by the other more taller giants because he will not eat the children and he's is a lot smaller than the other.he and the girl join forces to stop the giants from eating the children with help from the British Army. the movie is good with beth adults as well as kids will like the movie. Kids will love the movie so much that they'll go to the library to read the Dahl's novel as part of the summer reading program.
