Cute movie but not worth the money. Rather boring. Acting not all that good.

Nothing special. While Florence Foster Jenkins is by no means a terrible film, it has nothing special to offer either. The lead performances by Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant are mediocre at best, as is the same with every other aspect of the movie.

So good funny and heart warming.

About ten years ago, I heard music form someone who has never done music before. I'm talking about Paris Hilton who recorded a song which got very negative reviews from the public. but believe it or not I found her singing to be fine. I happen to fall in love with Paris Hilton and her singing. which leads me to review "Florence foster Jenkins" a musical biopic that could have been done in the time and age of "American Idol" and "the Voice." Meryl Streeps plays Jenkins a socialite who wanted to sing, despite her poor singing ability Before she knows it, she was singing in front of a large audience. I love the music aspect of the film, but the performances from Streep as well as Hugh Grant and Simon Helberg (The Big Bang Theory) are good ,but not good enough to carry the movie. I suggest people who wanted to study the life of the singer should go online and learn more about her. Better than sitting though this movie.

It is a nice and entertaining movie. I wouldn't classify it as a comedy though, as they do. There are some very funny moments but it's mostly a heartwarming and poignant story of love and passion for music. I disagree with those who say the acting isn't great. Meryl Streep is a very good singer and it must be difficult to purposely sing off-key for so much of the film. I also thought Hugh Grant did a great job as a fine gentlemen (instead of a kook, like he usually plays).
