A awful shark movie that doesn't come close to the classic 1975 movie "Jaws," and on top of that the cast is weak. the only cast member that I like is a 6 year-old daughter who is much smarter than the crew put together. Hours after the money I saw on television that the people behind the movie are putting out favorable tweets on twitter in order to save this movie. The movie is bad. it's about a group of people going after a shark which is so big it makes the mechanical shark in "Jaws" look like Dory form "finding Dory." Not only that I was turn off by the acting, but there are shark guts all over the place. Do me a favorite and stay away from "The Meg." it will be a lot better to watch "Jaws" again.

I paid $5, and it was probably worth the admission price.

It wasn't a bad movie. There were some funny moments, and a few moments of actual tension, but it absolutely pales in comparison to other movies in the genre. You're much better off seeking those out before spending time watching this.

The Meg is one of those movies that you forget pretty quickly after seeing it, and once you've seen it, there's not much rewatch value. There aren't any great scenes to enjoy again, although the performances by just about everyone in the cast were perfectly fine. They just weren't given much to work with here.
