A really solid action-spy thriller. Jennifer Lawrence is good, Joel Edgerton is good, Jeremy Irons is in a limited role, but good. It's a good movie!

A violent boring spy thriller that doesn't advance the career of Jennifer Lawrence. When someone approach me and ask this question, Are you a Jennifer Lawrence fan? I will quickly say No! I will judge her on a film by film, not by a body of work. This is the second movie in a row that she appear in a bad movie, (after "Mother" which i saw last fall) Lawrence played a ballarina who after an injury that ended her career, she was forced into the spy business, who's only function is to seduced men into telling them their secrets. This is a mean hateful movie which contains lots of torture. Lawrence's character is a second-rated character in which in one scene she is taking off her clothes and in another scene, she was being tortured. There are a lot of methods of torture. About 50 of them. I didn't really see someone being tortured 50 times in the movie, it just like I sat though 50. Jennifer Lawrence needs to be in better movies. She is one movie away from being a box-office poison. I love the actress she needs to do better.
