"Diary of a Wimpy Kid: the Long Haul," is the latest movie of a long series of novels by Jeff Kinney, and despite a cast overall, the movie still doesn't work with me. This movie to me, is divided into two movies, the part of the movie that is funny and the other half is movie that deems unfunny. Most of the laughs I have occurred outside of the van. but inside the van, I didn't laugh once. The family plans a road trip to celebrate Meemaw's 90th birthday. But along the way the encounter one disaster after another. the people in the car are annoying, making the film a bit unfunny. the main villain looks like Butto from the Popeye comic strips. Kids who love the books will probably love the movie. I'd rather read the books and skip the movie.
