The 2018 version of "A Star is Born" is the fourth remake of the movie. the other three version came out in 1937, 1954 (my favorite of the three) and 1976. Bradley Cooper who wrote and directed the new version, has borrow stuff from the 1954 and 1976 version of the movie as a reminder of how this version influence from the other version of the same movie. The plot is simple, Cooper pays a country singer who get drunk and sometimes drugged before he performs on stage. While at a bar, he discover the talent of a up coming singer played by lady Gaga. The two strike up a friendship in order to help her achieve fame. the fall in love and got married. while Gaga's star shines, his star began to fall over his drunk behavior and cocaine addiction. If you saw the three film version of "A Star is Born," you have no problem following the plot of the movie. The day before i saw the new version of the movie, I saw the 1954 version of "A Star is Born" on Turner Classic Movies. (I call it homework) And there are some scenes are taken from that 1954 version. I though it was the best of the three, except the new version falls short to equal the 1954 version. I think it still the best of the four and I've seen all four versions. Bradly Cooper, who directed and star in the movie, knows the material from the other version making it one of the best movies of the year. Lady Gaga, a Oscar contender for Best Actress? My fingers are crossed.

I think Bradley Cooper in this part threw the whole movie off. Didn't like him in it. Lady Gaga looks adorable in straight brown hair. It was long and you kind of knew somewhat what would happen in the end.
