Long, boring, and an uninteresting plot make Downsizing one of 2017's biggest disappointments.

A comic movie which got serious toward the end of the movie. Matt Damon and Kristen Wiig played a couple who ant to be reduced to 5 inches tall in order to control the overpopulation. When Wiig decides to back out of the shrinking process. it was Damon who is on his own as he discovered a new world of short people tacking new lives. While there, he meets a Vietnamese immigrant played by Hong Chau. She is a major surprise for me as she carried this movie along with Damon. I like this movie. Not a whole lot, but this movie has me think about their futures, but our futures as well. "Downsizing" may not be a great movie, but it has you thinking. A rare concept for a comedy.

It's a cool premise, but I got bored about a quarter of the way through and nothing caught my attention again.

The beginning and ending are good. The rest is very boring. Once they get downsized the rest of the film is with the downsized people and their surroundings and it looks normal all around, no real indication that they are down sized. A real let down!
