A violent, unfunny and depressing movie which celebrate what i believe is the spirit of Christmas, This film has five fathers who are trying to bring Christmas cheer to the family whom I found sad and depressing. Not one minute did I believe in the spirit of Christmas in this movie. "Daddy's Home 2" is a living hell disguise as Christmas cheer. The five fathers in question are played by John Cena, Mark Wahlberg, Mel Gibson Will Ferrell, and John Lithfow. All five are funny. Lithgow who I saw in better performances since 1982's "the World According to Grap," has been reduced to a second rate character, especially on one scene in which he had a meltdown on stage during an improve. I bet that the people in "Don't Think Twice" would think twice before inviting people like him on stage. Mel Gibson comes off as a ladies man, with noting to back up, The rest of the dads are just plain stupid with nothing to show. the kids are just as bad; they're loud and obnoxious. Two girls in one scene is drunk on egg nod, one gets left behind and one is afraid of girls. the climax of the movie is the family get stuck inside a movie theater watching a Liam Neeson holiday movie about him trying to stop large missiles. The Christmas cheer in the end sounds phoony to me. Two weeks ago, I saw a better Christmas movie in "A Bad Moms Christmas." This movie generate better Christmas cheer than the other movie. I'd rather party with the girls of "A Bad Mom's Christmas," a least I won't have to worry about getting hit with a flying chainsaw.

Just when you think you know what stupid looks like, they raise the bar.

Funny movie good to the end, not perfect but anything that makes you laugh out loud these days is worth it.

It has some laughable moments for fans of the first film, but overall doesn't hit comedy gold.
