Can't believe Lawrence and Bardem are Oscar winners and made this awful movie. So bad. Sep 22, 2017
It is definitely not for the faint of heart, but if you are looking for an interesting allegorical take, check this one out, just not in theaters. Check out my full thoughts here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sNa2qVtJCY&t=210s Oct 3, 2017
A violent and out of control movie in which a couple get interrupted by a a series of guest, many of them big fans of the husband's work.the movie was directed and written by Darren Aronotsky and hile pile on violence on with more violence. Jennifer Lawrence plays the wife who point of view centers around her. She sees the horror around her and we have to see it along with her. Her husband played by Javier Bardem is a poet, whose works has attracted his weird fan base. Towards the end of the movie, Aronotsky has lost control of the movie with it's violence and gorely images. If the director had scale back the violence, maybe there's something to like, but is nothing about the movie that I like. Maybe the movie is a dream for Lawrence. But in real life, if there's is a horrible image in her dream, she'll wake up much sooner. Looking for more opinions?Check out our Featured Movie Reviews for mother!. |
