It's a good films, with a great performance from Chadwick Boseman, but also falls into genre cliches, that make this not worth the full admission price. Check out my full thoughts here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwASWAr2IS4 Nov 7, 2017
Before President Johnson appointed him to the supreme court, Thorgood Marshall became a lawyer for the NAACP in the early days of his career. This movie tells of his career including a case which test his will. A case involving a Black Man accused of rape. Helping Marshall is a Jewish assoicate lawyer played by Josh Gad. When the judge place a gag order on Marshall, it's up to Gad to argue the case and prove the young man's innocent. Chadwick Boseman did an impressive job as the future Supreme court justice. But the performance by Gad nearly stole the movie. Gad has appeared in many comedies including "Frozen" and his performance mens he's ready for serious role. Kate Hudson is also impressive. This movie serves a an important history lesson. A history of how Marshall got his start as a lawyer and ended on the supreme court.
