A good movie which isn't as great as some of the better gangster movies over the years. This is a true story is about the rise of Rick Wershe who rose to fame as a drug dealer which turn informant, yet he was arrested at 17. His father Rick Sr. played brilliantly by Matthew McConaughey who became an illegal gun dealer and vows to protect his son, no matter what. the movie portrays the street of Detroit in the 1980's a dirty and hopeless. We follow the rise and fall of Rick Jr. from drug dealer to prison. A good but powerful movie.
