Another generic and cheesy apocalyptic "young adult" story. They're a dime a dozen, and have been done better Aug 14, 2018
The only thing that I like about "the Darkest Minds," there are very little that I like is that it is loyal to the book which is written by Alexandra Brachen, but the film tries to hard in bringing the characters to life. At the start of the movie, a girl called ruby Dee ( Amandia Stenberg) whowas stricken with a diease called Idiomathic Acute Neurodigeneration or IAAN. Upon recovering, she developed super powers. Before you know it, she is place in interment camp for kids who develop super powers. the five stages was created to look like a pyramid scheme with the top two are a threat and Ruby Dee's color is Orange which means she needs to be put to death, but she escape that using her new powers of mins control. before long, she was on the run with a group of kids all developed a similar powers. I really like to get into the movie, the disease the interment camps, the escape and the rebellion really appeal to me, but the movie is to angry and too much teen drama to matter much. this movie needs to chill a little. Mandy Moore appears as the leader of the League, but that doesn't do much to the movie. there was a hopeful ending to the movie, but that came to little too late.
