"Isle of Dogs" is a terrific, well-written movie directed by Wes Anderson. And if you think he's no big deal to you, he's certainly a bi deal with me. This man is a genius who hit all the right notes. this is more than a movie about the love of dog, but the film has lots of respect for Japanese culture and that's coming from an American Company. Even the music score is right on. The center of the story is the banishment of dogs to a place called Trash Island, which makes it more of a canine version of the 1963 classic"The Lord of the Flies." Meanwhile, a young boy comes to the island in search of his dogs and he was help by the other dogs. The voices in the movies comes from many people that appear in past movie by Anderson; such as George Cloony, Scarlett Johansson, Bill Murray, Edward Norton to name a few. It's a joyful romp and I hope that more people will see this movie. I really do.
